Who Am I?
I am an undergraduate student at Tufts University, majoring in cognitive & brain sciences, computer science, and studio art, with a minor in linguistics. I have experience in product development, improving app functionality, and modifying existing components to match user needs and improve user experience. I am also proficient in UX writing, developing and enforcing a consistent language style across mobile and web platforms. I am a natural leader and have led tone and style decision-making, adapting between professional and sincere approaches to align with user needs.
Design Philosophy
As a designer, I believe in creating intuitive and user-centered solutions that strike the perfect balance between form and function. My approach to design is informed by my background in computer science, studio art, and cognitive science.

Mind of a
Computer Scientist
-
As a computer scientist, I approach design with a focus on efficiency and scalability. I utilize my knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software development to create intuitive and user-centered solutions.
-
I employ a modular design approach, leveraging reusable components to avoid repetition, ensure stylistic consistency, and ease modifications. This approach not only streamlines the design process, but also improves the user experience by providing a consistent and easily navigable interface.
-
I pay close attention to user flows and implementation steps, carefully considering the user's needs and expectations at every stage.

Eye of an
Artist
-
As an artist, I bring a unique perspective to my design work. My background in Studio Art has provided me with a deep understanding of color theory, composition, and typography, which I use to create visually compelling and engaging designs.
-
I pay close attention to detail, carefully crafting the layout, typography, and color scheme to create a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing user interface. I believe that design should be intuitive and easy to follow, with a focus on simplicity and minimalism.
-
I strive to create designs that are visually stunning yet functional, striking the perfect balance between form and function. My knowledge of color theory, composition and typography also helps me to create designs that are not only visually pleasing but also aid users in understanding the information and tasks presented to them.

Perspective of a
Cognitive Scientist
-
As a student of cognitive science and linguistics, I bring an empathetic and user-centered approach to my design work. My understanding of human cognition and behavior informs my approach to design, allowing me to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
-
I pay close attention to modality-specific interactions norms such as swiping right to go to the previous page, and strive to create designs that are in line with user expectations and habits. Therefore, I create designs that are not only user-friendly but also cognitively efficient and easy to understand.
-
I take into account the user's mental model, understanding that different users may have different ways of thinking about and interacting with the interface.
-
I always consider user needs and expectations in my designs, and strive to create interfaces that are not only functional but also enjoyable to use.
